The game does not shy away from showing true tragedy and despair, but it doesn't forget about hope, either. The students who die are treated delicately, with many of the characters trying to hold on to good memories of them, and moving foward, never forgetting the sacrifices people made so they could continue for the future. Violence is a a given, (it is a murder mystery after all,) but it's never disgusting, the game doesn't revel in getting details and shoving it into the player's face. It's meant to be played by a certain audience, and for the audience it's made for, nothing is that bad, that rephrehensible, or that unforgiveable. However, the game isn't targeted towards children. (the game, for its subject matter, does not feel meanspirited.) Sexualizaton is a thing in this game, and sometimes, it does feel a little uncomfortable. Characters curse, though it isn't worse than what you hear from most middle schoolers. However, it's certainly not for everyone. The experience is amazing, especially when you let yourself be immersed in the world, the music, the art, and the story.

The aesthetic is uniquely 'Danganronpa,' with the purposefully incorrect perspectives to the world in certain areas, the whole game feels colorful and full of personality, yet still keeps you on edge and slightly uncomfortable, because you never know what'll happen next. The characters are wonderful, all fleshed out and detailed, with real nuance to their character development and belief systems across all the character interactions.

The mysteries are engaging, and you feel a real sense of accomplishment each time you figure out a new clue.
